where sendmail stores received emails

where sendmail stores received emails

I compiled again the sendmail.mc file by commenting with the following line
DAEMON_OPTIONS(`Port=smtp,Addr=127.0.0.1, Name=MTA')  so created a new sendmail
.mc file. Now after i put a entry in /etc/mail/access file for my domain it
allows sending to all email addresses that end with that domain. So it accepts
email. But i cannot see where the emails accepted are stored. Another redhat
user told me that i should have mailbox folders under /var/spool/mail but i do
not see any of them. So the strange thing is that sendmail accepts the local
mail but i do not know where emails are stored. I'm using a copy of Redhat 7.1
that came together with the Complete reference of Linux (Redhat 7.1 and Caldera
). Is any problem with that ? I even reinstalled Redhat on my machine as a
server but still the same thing. I was told that if i install REdhat 7.1 as a
server, it's not possible to login in graphical mode. But actually it installed
X Window and KDE and Gnome. Is anything wrong with that!
?

But more concerned i'm about Sendmail. Where does it store the email it
receives. They are not in queue either

Any idea what's happenning ?

Also i declared a MX entry in BIND for my email server, but i do not have any
forward options there. So i'm just curious since i haven't gone at that point
yet, what do i need to do in order to forward email on internet. Just declare
some forward options on BIND named.conf and  uncomment the following line on
sendmail.mc file

dnl FEATURE(`relay_based_on_MX')dnl

or do something else on sendmail in order to relay email into another SMTP
server ?

Thanks
