hi all!

i don't know a rpm file. but you can download here
http://members.chello.at/hagals.www/unlinked/phpmyadmin.tgz
from my private webspace a working version.

cd DocumentRoot
tar xzvf /ANYPATH/phpmyadmin.tgz

should work, if your permissions are correct.
do not forget to set hostname, username, password in config.inc.php
hostname might be localhost.
