i wanted to configure an isolated time server for my lan so i added the
following lines to
etc/ntp.conf file
server 127.127.1.0
fudge 127.127.1.0 stratum 10

i commented all other lines except drift file line then i started the ntpd by
/etc/init.d/ntpd start  it gives the following message
synchronizing with time server    [FAILED]

even during the boot process it is giving the same message .what could be
wrong?
