Which rpms in particular? python-2.2.3-26.i386.rpm python2-2.2.3-1.i386.rpm python2-2.2.3-1.src.rpm (after the other 2 din seem to be installed)

Which "init file"? all init files....

Why not? it says i have have any linux partitions which parcels me...

Common mistake because you did specify file names instead of package names. The "package name" of an rpm file is the first alpha-numerical part up to the version number. The rest is version number, package revision, target host architecture and ".rpm" file extension. E.g.
glibc-2.3.2-27.9.i686.rpm => the file name glibc => the package name
rpm --query glibc glibc-2.3.2-27.9

Well, "linux rescue" mode is for small problems like that. sorry tried but din work...
i reinstalled but now glibc isit working...so i am trying to install gcc latest version...may be the cause of unable to install glibc...hope someone can provide step by step guide to install glibc easily as i am not a wizard in installing libraries files...look what i did after python installation....
