i am configuring a ppp server on my redhat 8.0 machine i want mgetty to be
configured with AutoPPP i want to ask two question about this
1) in the /etc/mgetty+sendfax/login.config it is written that to include Autoppp
i have to recompile mgetty with -Dautoppp option in makefile abd then
uncomment
the following line in the include in login .config file
#/AutoPPP/ - ppp /usr/sbin/pppd auth -chap +pap login debug
"BUT" some one told me that mgetty in rh8.0 distributions is already compiled
with autoppp on idont need do recompile itonly ihave to do is to
uncomment the above line .What you guys say about this????
2)if i try to to recompile mgetty by including -Dautopp option in makefile
and then type the following sequence of commands
make;
make install;
then when i type make it ask me 1000001 different questions
do you want load this module ,doyou want to laod taht module .......
it is frustating stuff.Is there any way that icould execute make command
and tell it to take default values about diffferbt modules it use to ask??????
please help me
