Don 't be confused with the purpose of Fedora as I see it. The regular
RedHat consumer releases were "playgrounds " for the Enterprise products.
Almost everything you see in 2.1AS, that would likely have been part of a
RHCE class about a year ago, comes from RedHat 7.2/8.0 for the most part.
3.0AS is better matched with RedHat 9.0/10 likely with the inclusion of
vsftpd, and Apache 2.0. So any recent RHCE classes would be likely be
covering what RedHat expects you to know in the RHCE exam.
It is in the student 's best interest to be good at RedHat Linux in general.
Assuming they take the RHCE class along with the exam, they 'll be in pretty
good shape if they understand what they 're doing with a recently current
RedHat distro.
I could be completely wrong though, but I 'm just trying to make you feel
better for now...
