We 've tried the megaraid2, here is the results:

[root@(protected) data1]# ls -alh bigfile
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 1000M Oct 23 18:23 bigfile


[root@(protected) data1]# time dd if=bigfile of=secondfile
2048000+0 records in
2048000+0 records out

real 1m1.807s
user 0m1.130s
sys 0m26.020s


Thats only ~16M/s, even worse than the megaraid module. This is really
quite pathetic. Why would there be such a performance drop between
RHL9 and RHEL 3?
