RHEL3 AS on newisys 2100?

RHEL3 AS on newisys 2100?

We 've recently acquired a Newisys 2100 dual Opteron server with 16GB of
memory, an LSI megaraid card and a "regular " LSI scsi card
(mptfusion?). Installation of RHEL3 AS went pretty smoothly (still
struggling with getting a megaraid card to use the megaraid2 driver for
an external drive array without hanging the system on boot, but I think
that is a separate question, as the megaraid driver seems to function
okay for the moment).

The main problem we have currently is that the system appears to be
inundated with ACPI interrupts, thousands per second, and keventd is one
busy camper.

Any ideas as to why this might be happening? Clues? Even some bread
crumbs would be appreciated. :)

Thanks,
Owen
