Hi,
Sorry for late respond. I was constantly working on this and some other
projects.

Anyway, I still don 't know what was the cause problem, but then I switched the
ethernet card to a newer SMC card. Reboot, kudzu then assked me to remove the
old card configuration (3Com), but new card not recognize. Reboot again, then
Kudzu found the new hardware (new card) and detect it correctly. Very weird,
I says, is this RHEL bug?

The new card autonegotiation seems to work for 10Mbit Half duplex. As I said
before, I tried using mii-tool with the old 3Com card to force it to half
duplex, but it didn 't work, and it still gave me full duplex. But now that I
got this card to work, I just won 't mess with it again. I called the network
service to switch the MAC address to the new card. I guess what I don 't
understand is, the 3Com card worked and still works with RH 7.3 out of the
box.

Thanks all for the help.
