LVM not working over loop device

LVM not working over loop device

Hi,

I 'm unable to mount a filesystem created on a logical volume where the
underlying physical volume is a loop device. Mount doesn 't seem to
recognize the filesystem, and refuses to mount even if I specify the
filesystem with -t ext3.

Someone else ran into this problem with Red Hat Linux 9, and a reply on
the LVM list seems to indicate that the version shipped with Red Hat is
problematic. The post in question is here:

http://lists.sistina.com/pipermail/linux-lvm/2003-May/014072.html

Attached is a script of the session where I create the logical volume
and attempt to mount it.

This is a stock RHEL AS 3 install. In case it matters (although I
suspect it doesn 't), I 'm using the aacraid driver.

Any advice would be appreciated. I 'm happy to file a bug if it looks
like I 'm not doing anything wrong.

Thanks,
Jason.
