I 've also tried the latest beta release of Workstation 4.5 (build 6979)
and it has the same behaviour. So for now I keep 2.4.21-4.0.2.EL for my
daily needs at the office, and use the 2.4.21-9.EL when I know I won 't
use VMware. If only I had an idea on where to look to increase or
troubleshoot the performance hit caused by the problem. I 'm also raising
this issue at VMware 's Community website.
