wine services question (newbie to wine)

wine services question (newbie to wine)

This may become rapidly OT if so could someone point me to a more
appropriate place please.
I installed the RH9 current version RPM of wine on my RHEL3ws machine.
And managed to get the notepad to run, save and load a .txt file and
navigate directories to the place I wanted to save to.
I noticed quite a lot of what looked like errors scrolling up the
terminal window then went and closed it before looking at it again.
However I looked under services for another reason and noticed wine is
now listed so I clicked it to see what it said.
The status part showed the following line.
Wine binary format handlers are not registered.
I tried a reboot in case it was needed after an install (windows habit
I 'm trying to break) but the same status message showed.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Regards Roger
