NewBie plea for help: re-spawning kdmenu entries

NewBie plea for help: re-spawning kdmenu entries

2004-01-31       - By Geoffrey Lane

 Back
I 've tried to get the kmenu the way I want it after installing some additional
programs... I 've used the kmenu edit for my normal user and went back after
logging out to find that the menu items I 've hidden were showing back up.
I 've edited them using root kmenu to see if that was just gonna edit it in
root 's homedir or throughout the system... no luck.
I 've used konsole and manually moved each of the menu items to where I want
them but after logging offf they reappear and screw up everything I 've done..
I 've going freaking loopy! Have I missed something obvious or is there a
script at login that re-spawns them cause I 'm at a loss and have no idea what
to do next..

If somone can save my sanity, please help me out
BTW, my system is redhat 9
