Thanks Bob, on it. BTW I d/l 'd the HOWTO collection last night and
installed it on my windows workstation 's website. Interestingly to me I
found that this large gzip 'd/tar 'd file (26MB) wouldn 't install using
ICEOWS on my winxp box. I mean it chewed up 100% of the cpu (P4-1.8GH) for
over an hour and got about 15% done.

So I finally transferred it to /tmp on my linux box - using a samba share
of course - and it got put together in probably less than 2 minutes; on a
P2-200 processor no less. Although to be fair I should add that my first RH
install included X and the other desktop stuff which just ran too slow to
use so I reinstalled w/o any of that stuff.
