Back Hi, I was reading the Infoworld article about 2.6/2.4 performance
difference and noted that they used RHES 3.0 as a base distro and
compared 2.4.23 and 2.6.0.
My understanding was that RHES 3.0 wouldn 't work at all without a NPTL
aware kernel or am I mistaken
The Infoworld article is here

Personally, for the static webserving tests. I wouldn 't use Apache2,
maybe something like Cherokee and also my understanding is that the
mysql benchmarks are single threaded. The Mysql guys are saying that
they plan to have a mysql port of OSDL DBT-2 test released soon
Regards, Yusuf
