Back I 've got a RHEL 3 server, running NFS. When I connect from my Mac, I
get decent performance. When I mount a share from a RHEL workstation;
however, performance is horrid.. on the order of 1/2 a megabyte per
second.
I 've tested network throughput, which looks fine (94 Mb/s), and disk
I/O. All the duplex settings appear correct. I 've also tried changing
the wsize from 4096, to 8192, to 16384.
Does anyone have any other ideas of NFS tuning options? Presumably it 's
something on the client, but I can 't put my finger on it.
Thanks for any advice,
Norman
