Compaq/HP LOM boards in non-compaq/hp machines

Compaq/HP LOM boards in non-compaq/hp machines

I can 't speak to all the machines, but they often work. Typically, you
need to remove or disable any existing video card in the machine. After
that, you can have remote keyboard/video/mouse function through a web
browser.

Advanced functions, such as remote power on/power off, virtual media and the
like are not available. Those features require the specific supported
versions proliant hardware.

Hi All,

Sorry for the off topic question but I 'm wondering if anyone knows if the
various LOM cards (Remote Insight) from Compaq/HP can be used in generic
PC 's?
And if so do they work with Redhat?

Thanks,
Harry
