Hello, this is off-topic, but i have installed redhat9 on a server, all
default stuff, no changes, and entered it into dns - however when i send
an email (from anywhere, including the same subnet) to that user it does
not get stored in their mailbox on the server.

If i do a tcpdump on the interface i see some smtp stuff arriving just
after i send the mail - but it doesnt get stored. i have modified the
sendmail.mc file (commented out
DAEMON_OPTIONS(`Port=smtp,Addr=127.0.0.1, Name=MTA')dnl) and started
sendmail as a daemon but it does not seem to make a difference.

does anybody here have any good pointers on this?

best regards,

ivo.
