aliases file is located. I even tried changing the entry to a new location and
creating an aliases file there. Again it didn't help. Yes, I have checked to
make sure the system is running sendmail. I have other boxes running sendmail
and they don't have this problem, which is why it is so puzzling to me.

I would remove the aliases database and force newaliases to create the
databas from scratch. Another thing to look for is any syntax error
that might not be caught by the newaliases processing but would cause
a particular alias to be ignored.
