  | | | Diskless cluster and up2date | Diskless cluster and up2date 2004-02-24 - By Alois Treindl
Back Question: If I configure a diskless cluster with RHEL 3.0 ES, then
each client server gets its own copy of some essential, client-specific
file set, e.g. /boot and /etc
Now, if I use 'up2date ' to update the diskless server, what happens to
the copies of the updated files in each of the client directories:
- will they get automatically updated as well, i.e. does the rpm know
about the copies in the diskless setup, and deal with them (unlikely, I
ussume)
- if not, HOW am I supposed to update the file copies for each diskless
client.
