Back Hi, I just bought Samsung ML1710 Series Printer. I bought this printer after carefully observing its compatibility with Linux. Samsung shipped the CDrom which includes a script for linux. I installed the printer and the tool detects the printer on the USB which is one. ALso, my print manager detects the printer. I have selected the postscript driver for the printer which it shows in the parenthesis (is recommended). However, whenever I try to print any document pdf, ps or text the printer is idle. It does not print anything. Also I did not modify any entry in /etc/printcap
My printer supports linux printing since its on the linuxprinting.org http://www.linuxprinting.org/printer_list.cgi Samsung ML 1710
Any suggestions? tips? advises?
Thanks Dont
