Hi, has anyone been able to get kernel 2.6 to compile on RH ES 2.1? If
so, would you mind lending me a hand? I was able to compile from source
rpms from redhat 8 and others on rpmfind.net to bring the versions of
all the required software packages (binutils, e2fs-utils, mod-utils,
etc) to what 2.6 requires, but I am unable to get make bzImage to
compile. I am getting errors. I need kernel 2.6 on the server so that
I can have smbmount support for files >2 GB. The error I get is
fs/proc/array,c:398 confused by earlier errors, bailing out. thanks!
