Mouse cursor disappears on BlueCurve

I just upgraded from Shriek to Taroon. When BlueCurve comes up, there is
no cursor. Right mouse click brings up desk top menus, any one of which
will then open another window. Cursor then shows up. Exiting window
retains traditional black cursor with white outline. What gives? I have
a traditional MS IntelliMouse. Worked fine under Shriek - still works
fine w/Win 2000 Pro on same machine. Any ideas what I should be looking
at to troubleshoot? Thanks in advance.
