Thanks for that. It seems all the windows users I know do this kind of thing
all the time, and their stuff just works.
I 'm amazed that there is nothing set up to do this already in a RH9 or FC1
install, and that there is so little response to questions about it.
I 'm guessing that the Linux community (represented here anyway) must not
have much need for this stuff... :-(

I haven 't used yum, so I 'm not sure about that end of things, but I can
certainly get an rpm or three and install them.
