ps -e will not show chroot running if you are in a chroot. You df shows that you only have 35MB of disk space--is this correct? Did you boot from a USB device or something? Seeing /dev/shm at the same size makes me think that you are running from RAM. Has something changed recently, or have you always had a 35MB / partition?
