> I have brought one new machine for testing on R.H. 7.3.
> The configuration of the machine is -

> CPU - 2.1GHz. (Intel)
> Motherboard - D845GVSR (Intel Box)
> RAM - 256MB DDR
> HDD - 40GB Samsung
> Display Card- S3 Trio PCI 1MB
> CD Writer - Samsung 52x24x52
> Cabinet - ATX
> Lan Card - Realtek 8139 Chipset
> keyboard & Scroll mouse.

> When I have tried to shutdown this machine the shutdown process stops

Have you inactivated the bios settings for automatic shutdown, wake-up etc.?
Maybe
the problem lies there. Let Linux do the job for you.
