I chose 7.3 because it is the most secure and stable

Did you choose 7.3 becuase your machine is slow or is it possible to
do a more recent Linux like RH 9 or Fedora which will give you more
capabilities. For example a windows office clone is included.
Both are either free by download or can be optained for about $10
from: www.cheapbytes.com
Both have more active help lists.
