Back I have an Enterprise 2.1 system; the product id is registered.
I upgraded the registration programs
rpm -aq | grep rhn rhn_register-gnome-2.9.3-1.2.1AS rhnlib-1.3-11.152 rhn_register-2.9.3-1.2.1AS rpm -aq | grep up2 up2date-2.9.3-2.2.1AS up2date-gnome-2.9.3-2.2.1AS
RedHat helped me to get the SSL certificate.
When I run "rhn_register", the first window comes up, but then a message appears
"Fatal error retrieving welcome message: Connection refused "
The following errors appear on the terminal window:
A socket error occured: (111, 'Connection refused'), attempt #1 A socket error occured: (111, 'Connection refused'), attempt #2 A socket error occured: (111, 'Connection refused'), attempt #3 A socket error occured: (111, 'Connection refused'), attempt #4 A socket error occured: (111, 'Connection refused'), attempt #5
I have port 443 enabled in /etc/sysconfig/ipchains. I have "https: all" in /etc/hosts.allow. When I execute nmap I have the following ports open:
Port State Service 22/tcp open ssh 80/tcp open http 111/tcp open sunrpc 443/tcp open https 617/tcp open unknown 891/tcp open unknown 32770/tcp open sometimes-rpc3
Does anyone know how to fix the problem?
