I always found it very useful with 7.2 and 8.0; used to have it in 9; and
have it again in FC1, which makes me miss it the more on the machine still
running shrike. I can't tind a way to turn it on -- if it's off. It may
just be misconfigured: whenever I rebot, both panels turn pure black, and
I have to go into properties to restore a background against which I can
see my launchers.
What do I do to fix it? I want to run shrike yet a while, on my backup
desktop, till FC2 is mature (i.e., about the time FC3 comes out; I'm no
technoid, alas!)
