samba on dual booted hard disk

samba on dual booted hard disk

When the Win98 system looks at drive D, is sees an unformatted drive
because Win98 does not know how to read or write an ext3 file system.

When Linux is running, the Win98 partition can be read and written as a
fat16 fstype.  Win98 will never gain the ability to read or write ext3 file
systems, so you'd need to re-install linux on the D partition but tell the
installer to use vfat32 as the file system type.  (your fat16 is probably
vfat32 unless you're running Win98 not Win98se).

Warning: I didn't sleep last night, and this was written under control
of caffeine, not neurons.

i installed shrike on third extension (ext3fs) but the win98 on fat16 file
system.
from the perspective of win98, it's on drive D:
i do understand the bit about dual boot but if there is anyway i could
access
files between any OS while the other is running, i would appreciate it if
you do help.
thanks
david
