Apache mod_deflate errors

Apache mod_deflate errors

I 'm using RHEL 3 with Apache 2.0.46-40 (current version).

Lately, the mod_deflate module has been giving me trouble. I get this
line over and over again in my apache error logs:

unable to init Zlib: deflateInit2 returned -4: URL /servlets/contiko

and none of my users can access my sites. I have to stop and start
apache to get it to run again. This occurs around once a week.

Are there known bugs in mod_deflate? I 've disabled it for the time
being.

Thank you,

Brent
