How to add to gnome menu

How to add to gnome menu

2004-10-19       - By Robinson, Andrew W.

 Back
I was trying to add a new program launcher to the Gnome start menu. I
right-clicked on the preferred submenu, selected "Entire Menu ", then "Add
New Item To This Menu ". I went through the process of selecting the
application and icon, but when I tried to save it, the system refused. I
have a vague recollection from Fedora that this is a "feature " and that it
can be gotten around with relative ease. I just don 't remember how to do so.
Can anyone clue me in?

Thanks!

Andrew Robinson
