Any Thoughts on HP ProLiant Support Pack?

Any Thoughts on HP ProLiant Support Pack?

Hi,

We have a few new CPQ machines and I 'm wondering if it 's worth the trouble
to install the Proliant Support Pack for RHEL 3 on these boxes. Anyone
have anything to say (good, bad indifferent) about it? Should I skip the
huge pack with drivers and just install the config / monitoring tools I
need manually?

Previously we 've been a mainly Dell shop and OMSA until very recently was
so horribly bad that we just made a blanket decision to ignore all vendor
tools. Now things seem to be different (OMSA doesn 't skew your clock
to a different timezone twice a day anymore :) so we 're reconsidering this
position with the various vendors and toolsets they use.

Thanks!
