Setting up Second Server

Setting up Second Server

Greetings list.

I 'll be setting up the old server at this site to be an smbserver for the
cad users on the lan.
I already have a primary server controlling all the users and email, and for
this one I just need to run samba and serve the engineering guys about 80G
worth of solidworks drawings. We 're hoping that having this server will help
load drawings faster across the lan.

My question is what is the best way or preferred way to set up a second
server for the engineers? Is there an easy way to copy the userlist from the
main server over, and how do I configure my smb.conf file to run as a
secondary server? I 'm not using ldap.

I 've never had two servers run on the lan before, and there isn 't any real
rush. I have a few weeks to get this set up, so looking for some feedback
before I begin.

Thanks.
