Hello all,
I am testing Redhat Enterprise v3 on a dual-stack IPv4/IPv6 network, and
I have a few questions about IPv6 service configuration that hopefully
someone on the list knows the answer to.
In order to get xinetd services to listen on the IPv6 interfaces I had
to add "flags=IPv6 " to the config files for each service in
/etc/xinted.d/. Previous documentation I read indicated that I
shouldn 't have had to do this and that xinetd should have enabled all
services to listen on IPv4 and IPv6 automatically. Am I doing something
wrong?
Also, it seems that the rpc services (portmap, statd, etc.) are not
listening on the IPv6 interfaces either. Is there another configuration
option I am missing somewhere. The RedHat-supplied documentation on
IPv6 is pretty sparse.
