kde / gnome issue

kde / gnome issue

Hi all,
a newbie question for you guys:

We are using RHEL ES server, which are accessed using X servers on PC's.
All access is activated by running "startkde".

I can see the kde environment come up for all users.
BUT
Some of my users get the GNOME menu (the one with the red hat at the bottom
left), instead of the kde menu (the one with the "K" at the bottom left).

as a result (I think), any K application (such as KWrite) that they try to run,
starts without a window top bar, so the window cannot be moved.

All users that get the kde menu work fine.

I tried to use the desktop switching tool - but it did not solve my problem.

Any ideas ?

Thanks,
Nir
