  | | | exclude package from redhat network updates | exclude package from redhat network updates 2004-12-09 - By John Vasileff
Back I am testing a new RHEL 3 x86_64 server with "apache" and "mod_ssl" packages from RHEL 2.1 i386 installed. I need these packages for now as a third party module requires Apache 1.3 i386.
My problem is that RHN wants to upgrade "mod_ssl" to the current RHEL 3 version. I would like to find a way (other than rebuilding the package with a diff. name) to force RHN to ignore this package entirely. I already have "9. pkgSkipList ['mod_ssl']" in upd2date-config, but this doesn't affect the RHN web interface. Any ideas?
