Samba--Connection Refused (Detour) 2004-12-15 - By Wayne Watson
Back I thought I'd mention what appears to be a little detour here. In my latest posting, I mentioned that XP Pro is no longer showing any computers on my network, including itself. I then realized my XP firewall might be doing me in, or more exactly the install of the XP service pack 2 I made yesterday. Sure enough. My McAfee firewall program is disabled, and it may take a bit to get it around the SP2 changes. Computers!
In the meantime, I'll do what I can now that I'm seemingly past the 192.168.0.1 :901 problem.
