Back
I have upgraded a Dell Precision 370 workstation from RHEL 3 update 3,
to update 4. I have now lost all sound.
/var/log/messages contains:
Dec 22 15:16:55 kayak kernel: Intel 810 + AC97 Audio, version 0.24,

Dec 22 15:16:55 kayak insmod:

And dmesg shows 265 lines of (and nothing else):

If I boot back to the 2.4.21-20.ELsmp kernel, everything is fine. I know
the new kernel changed things around the Open Sound System - which I'm
sure are to blame.
Any suggestions on where to look, or what to fix?
