Lynx connects to the Internet directly...hence you need to make
sure you can reach the Internet check that your DNS is working or that
your /etc/resolv file has your ISP's DNS IP.

Hi All,
Just downloaded lynx 2-8-5......I run it at the command
prompt by typing lynx url.I get a message In the window, making HTTP
connection to www.google.com <file://www.google.com> ( for example)
then the message goes on to say
Alert ! : unable to connect to remote host
Lynx : can't access startfile http://www.google.com/
<http://www.google.com/> any help appreciated.
