YMMV, as I had *many* "issues" using a 2.6 kernel on RHEL3 (of course modutils etc. have to be upgraded, but even after that many things looked "broken" or just stopped working) and I finally decided to not continue with it and temporarily use Fedora and now RHEL4 beta there (I basically needed it for ACPI). So be prepared...
