I experienced similar issues from U3 on. We had systems grinding down to
a halt in 24 - 48 hour periods -- anything that did a significant amount
of NFS i/o. I'm guessing you're using NetApp filers. Are you mounting
the file systems with matching rsize/wsize parameters? I believe these
are maintained in the DOT registry as options.nfs.tcp.recvwindowsize and
xfersize. I set these to 32768/32768 on both ends and my issues cleared
up.

Anyone else experiencing any NFS hanging with the U4 kernel? We
have two systems when running a specific application hang after 24hours
or less and when running df -k that output hangs on the NFS file system
this particular application writes too. There are other systems
with perhaps less activity that are running a different instance of this
application, writing to the same Qtree but not experiencing this
problem.
