Are Nvidia nForce motherboards officially supported by RHEL v3?

Are Nvidia nForce motherboards officially supported by RHEL v3?

The nforce3 and 4 chips aren't supported.  In fact, the nforce3 is
pretty challenging to get installed.  However, I was able to pull it off
with a customer recently.  We had to use the nvidia drivers for the
nforce3 chipset.  We installed with RHEL 3 update 3.

At the installation boot prompt we passed the following parameters:

acpi=off dd

...and then loaded the nvidia drivers.

This may or may not work for all hardware combinations, but I thought
I'd share that with you so you can try it.

Fedora Core 3 and RHEL 4 beta, from what many customers are telling me,
installs pretty flawlessly on the nforce3 motherboards without any
special intervention....so RHEL 4 may be a better fit for this hardware
once it is officially released.

Hope that helps!
