Hi everybody,

We're using a DELL PE 2850 with two RAID 1 arrays (and 1 Hotspare disk)
and we're currently experiencing extremely high iowaits during i/o
operations.
This server is used to manage sources and compilations are extremely
long.

Using dd to generate 1 to 10 GB file, top shows i/o going up to 350% in
iowaits (the server has 4 logicial processors).
Kernel used is 2.4.21-27ELsmp and I'm running out of idea to get a
solution.

Anybody ?
