Back Is there anything in particular that needs to be done in order for the "LABEL=/" boot options to work with a custom kernel?
I've built and installed a custom kernel and from what I can see all looks normal. The appropriate entries were added to grub.conf. All the files are where they should be, fstab is unchanged and yet the boot hangs with a kernel panic:
VFS: Cannot open root device "LABEL=/" or 00:00 Please append a correct "root=" boot option Kernel panic: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on 00:00
