We've been getting thousands of lines of these errors below in the system logs
for the last few days:

Jan 30 23:59:52 end_request: I/O error, dev 03:05 (hda), sector 6824736
Jan 30 23:59:52 end_request: I/O error, dev 03:05 (hda), sector 8832

Jan 30 23:59:59 end_request: I/O error, dev 03:05 (hda), sector 61344

Googling around a lot of people seem to think that this is a sign of a nearly
dead hard drive - does this sound right? If so is there something I can do to
make sure?

Thanks
