CUPS IPP printing from WinXP SP2

CUPS IPP printing from WinXP SP2

I am in the process of testing CUPS for a print gateway project I am
involved with and ran into an issue.  First let me start by
saying the problem does not exist on Fedora core 3, so I assume it has
been resolved in newer versions of CUPS.

When attempting to define a IPP printer via WinXP SP2 the print wizard
hangs after it has installed drivers and added the printer.  Attempting to
access the printer afterwords results in similar hangs.  Using this same
config with a fedora3 server works perfectly.

Is this a known problem that will be resolved in RHEL3?  One that is going
to remain in RHEL3 but resolved in RHEL4?  Or is there a work around that
is known? This appears to be a major bug limitation (even if the bug is
in Windows) if a workaround/solution is known.
