break-in attempts?

break-in attempts?

Hi all,

I am getting literally thousands of break-in attempts to ssh possibly
other services (i.e. they attempt different common usernames and
passwords)

how do I block these?  I only need ssh access from my internal
network, and from one other IP number (home)

I assume I can set up a firewall rule, but I have no idea how to do
it (I am not even sure that the firewall is enabled on this
machine...)

any resources you can point me to help me set up a firewall?

thanks,

-avi
