Back Hi all,
RH ES3 Update 4 box with the 'unsupported' modules added.. Controller is fine, however the plugged in powered up disks are not seen.
#cat /proc/scsi/sbp2_0/1 Host scsi1 : SBP-2 IEEE-1394 (ohci1394) Driver version : $Rev: 906 $ James Goodwin <jamesg@(protected)>
Module options : max_speed : S800 max_sectors : 255 serialize_io : no exclusive_login : no
Attached devices : none
The disks are seen by a Mac so I doubt the array is toasted.
Any pointers? No obvious errors in the log : SCSI device sda: 35548320 512-byte hdwr sectors (18201 MB) Partition check: sda: sda1 sda2 sda3 ohci1394: $Rev: 896 $ Ben Collins <bcollins@(protected)> ohci1394_0: OHCI-1394 1.0 (PCI): IRQ=[11] MMIO=[efffe800-efffefff] Max Packet=[2048] scsi1 : SCSI emulation for IEEE-1394 SBP-2 Devices blk: queue c4b5ea14, I/O limit 4095Mb (mask 0xffffffff) ieee1394: Host added: Node[00:1023] GUID[004026010601f500] [Linux OHCI-1394]
Scsi bus scan shows nothing except the local adaptec scsi :
# ./rescan-scsi-bus.sh Host adapter 0 (aic7xxx) found. Host adapter 1 (sbp2_0) found. Scanning hosts 0 1 channels 0 for SCSI target IDs 0 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 , LUNs 0 Scanning for device 0 0 0 0 ... Same result with the Oracle supplied kernel. doh.
