We're getting a load of new equipment here in the next few weeks which I
do not have any direct experience loading/running with RHEL. I was
hoping that there might be a few kind souls out there who might want to
share their joys/pain on getting RHEL 3/4(beta) onto this server and
setting up the HBA/SAN.
Specifically:
- Useful apps for the HBA/SAN configuration.
- SNMP agents for monitoring the HW
- Gotchas or general experiences. Slam dunk versus hours of driver
hunting? System freezes, known problems, etc..
- Useful mailing lists / resources.
I've been to the IBM/QLogic web site and found the usual suspects
(i.e. source for the drivers, firmware updates, etc) but thought
others might have some experience tips they could share.
